Slice of Beef or Pork in New York?

My friend is living in NY city Manhattan.
She needs to slice beef to make Japanese cooking.
But the slice beef does not sell at beef shop NY.
So how do you do to make it ??
Of course, she can use knife, but it is 1mm thick.
It is difficult to cut such a slice.

So pls kindly tell to me the shop or how to make or slice machine etc….

The best way to slice meat that thin is either to have the butcher do it for you, they will just select the cut of beef needed for the dish and they will gladly do this for you. Another option, is to slice the meat when it is only half thawed. Partially frozen meat is easier to slice. Good Luck.
