Seventy-five years ago, a St. Louis widow named Irma Rombauer took her life savings and self-published a book called The Joy of Cooking. Her daughter Marion tested recipes and made the illustrations, and they sold their mother-daughter project from Irma’s apartment. Today, nine revisions later, the Joy of Cooking — selected by The New York Public Library as one of the 150 most important and influential books of the twentieth century — has taught tens of millions of people to cook, helped feed and delight millions beyond that, answered countless kitchen and food questions, and averted many a cooking crisis.

A Healthy Vegetarian Cooking Class with a world class Vegetarian Chef . Spiced Pumpkin Soup and Red Rice Pilau. Easy vegetarian cooking. Making 2 dishes with the simple vegetarian cooking.
Rams Red Rice Pilau
1Cup of Red Rice
1Cup of Cauliflower
1Handful of Beans
1/4 Red Pepper (Optional)
1Carrot
1Cup of Broccoli
2Sprigs of Curry Leaves
1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds
1Pinch of Asfodia Powder
1Teaspoon Cumin Seed
1/2Teaspoon Garam Masala
1/2Teaspoon Tumeric
Lemon Juice and Coriander to garnish.
Kerala Spiced Pumpkin Soup
1/4Pumpkin
1 Stick of Celery
3/4Cup of Coconut
1Bunch of Coriander
1Carrot
2Tomatoes
2Lemons
1-1/2 Teaspoon Cumin Seed

“Recently as I was playing at an Armenian event I received a request from a young woman for ‘New York, Boston, California.’ I was quite surprised since in over 40 years of playing for the Armenians I had never received a request for the song. While it is in our repertoire, as are hundreds of songs, we never play the song. [...] this song is among many that describe life of the Armenians in the ‘new country’”

Morning of Sunday, August 2nd, 2009, filming the movie “Morning Glory” inside the Grace Building in New York on 42nd Street. Harrison Ford playing a newscaster cooking was on loop inside the International School of Photography on 43rd Street, which for the sake of filming was changed to the IBS Store, which is the name of the news channel in the film, out next summer.
