I really found in interest in learning how to cook, and since my mom can’t cook very well, I thought maybe we could learn together. I always make a mess trying to make my own concoctions, but they never work. Is there a place in NYC where i could sign up me and mom for cooking classes ?

I’m in Massachusetts, and a lot of the "junior" colleges and culinary schools offer "recreational" classes at night or on the weekends. Check out some schools that have night classes. Also try the link below. They have "recreational" classes in all kinds of cooking subjects. They are at 50 West 23rd. If you can’t get to a school, pick up a plain-cooking cookbook: Fanny Farmer, Joy of Cooking…Basic recipes for everyday cooking with clear, complete instructions (even how to boil water!). it is my husbands birthday and i am planning to take him out this saturday for a whole fun date. i know he would love to take a cooking class but i need to find a place that affordable.

I would contact your County Home Extension office…Now I say this from years of being with the 4-H program. They are part of the University and I know they do offer cooking courses that are very reasonably priced if not free…Also if you have a local community college, and there is a Community Education department, should be a part of the Continuing education dept, check and see if they offer cooking courses….I headed on of those programs and we had all sorts of cooking courses, including one called the newly wed survival cooking school.

Ik its normal obviously for males to be involved in cooking, and cooking classes in HS. my my makes these comments how i just want to be in them to see all the girls .for those that are in (or remember) HS, how many guys to girl ratio were in cooking classes?

In my cooking class last year I had 2 boys and 32 girls. You should totally be in cooking classes! More guys need to learn how to cook!

I would pay more for good cooking classes than for bad. I have paid 5000 dollars for 5 days of Itallian cooking classes in Cinco Terra where I prepared the day’s meals in five different Restaurants.

I am not interested in American Cooking Classes.

For a person with a killer reputation and in an intense cooking class with say 30 dishes I would pay 3k. For a run of the mill class I would pay about 20 an hour at the local community college.

I am looking for teen cooking classes… or adult cooking classes that will accept a 14 year old whos dream is to become a chef. We live in the seattle area of Washington state.
